They have assembled for participating in the “first of its kind” project for creating a right mix of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and hydrogen. Vehicle makers across the world are seeking ways of using hydrogen-fuel in newer products, however this project looks for developing CNG hydrogen mixture known as “Hithane” to be used in existing fleet of vehicles with least modifications in their engine & its components.

Hithane reduces the country’s dependence upon foreign oil. Plus it also diminishes the emissions of nitrous oxide (NOX), thereby helping it achieve enhanced fuel efficiency.
